An unforgettable theatrical experience blending puppetry with video technology
A tale of life and the universe, brought to life through limitless imagination

How do we live with the grief of losing a loved one? Our Cosmic Dust confronts this timeless question faced by all humanity. Crafted with sincerity by Michinari Ozawa, a rising talent in the Japanese theater world, the play premiered in August 2023. A wondrous journey exploring death, accompanied by a single puppet, moves audiences deeply, while its fantastical staging—featuring a full-wall LED display rarely seen in intimate theater spaces—transforms the stage into a cosmic space. It received three honors at the 31st Yomiuri Theater Awards: Outstanding Play, Outstanding Director, and Best Actress. In June this year, it made its London debut, earning numerous five-star reviews. Now, two years after its premiere, the original cast returns for a revival. It also marks EPOCH MAN’s first-ever four-city tour.
Where do we go after death? Will there ever be a day when sorrow fades? Our Cosmic Dust is a story of loss, and the journey toward grief care that follows.

A pinnacle of modern theater. ★★★★★
――The Obscurity
The real beauty is in the play’s delicate storytelling on death and its longevity. ★★★★★
――The Reviews Hub London
Memorable, emotionally evocative and deeply moving, simultaneously brave and gentle. ★★★★★
――Westend Best Friend
It is bursting with compassion, humour, grief, and the fundamental curiosity that makes us human. ★★★★★
